BrightPath Opens New Center in Maynard, Massachusetts

Maynard, MA – June 5, 2024 – Families with young children in the MetroWest area are glad to have another option for high-quality early learning and child care with the opening of BrightPath Maynard. Located at 13 Digital Way in the Maynard Crossing Plaza, the brand-new school offers enriching and nurturing programs designed to give children six weeks to five years old the best start in life.  

BrightPath Early Learning and Child Care is part of Busy Bees, one of the world's largest providers of early childhood education and care. This new facility is the sixth BrightPath school in the Greater Boston area.  

To mark its introduction to the Maynard community, the school will host a Ribbon-Cutting and Opening Celebration on Tuesday, June 11 at 10:30 a.m. The event will feature: 

• Remarks from local leaders, including:
  • Wade Blackman, District Director for Policy, Office of Congresswoman Katherine Clark (MA-5)
  • Chris DiSilva, Chair, Maynard Select Board  
  • Sheldon Prenovitz, Ambassador, MetroWest Chamber of Commerce
• A check presentation from BrightPath to Maynard-based non-profit Open Table, which will be accepted by Executive Director Alex DePalo
• Fun activities for the whole family, including face-painting, arts and crafts and light refreshments
• A special visit from BrightPath mascot, Buzz 
• Tours of the school and a meet-and-greet with educators

BrightPath offers programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-kindergarten students. The center blends child-initiated activities with its signature BeeCurious Curriculum that fosters cognitive, social, and emotional development. Curriculum focus areas include language and literacy, math discovery, global citizenship, building connections, social skills and adaptability, creative discovery, STEM discovery, physical literacy, and environmental stewardship.

Beyond Maynard, BrightPath has plans to continue expanding in the Boston area with schools in Woburn and Westford planned to open in 2025.
